Wicked IPTV and SFVIP Player

Hi Gang

A few months ago a couple of members advised me to try SFVIP with Wicked IPTV on my computer.
I finally got around to trying it and like what I see, very much.

It is SFVIP1.2.5.7 on a Windows 10 machine.

While I have figured out most of the installation, I cannot find where to insert the EPG url like
we do with some of the other players. Or even, find the place to click to turn on the EPG.
Maybe it doesn't have an EPG? I can see the station playlist on the righthand side but not a full EPG.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

EPG is supported.
I just tried with a MAC and a USER+PASS type sub and it automatically pics up the EPG entries without an issue. For playlist however, I don't see an entry to entry the epg url. Maybe it supports the embeded EPG url options on the m3u8 files.

But for MAC and USER+PASS (ie: XC API), when the channel list is out of view and you move the mouse, you see and EPG bottom on top right. If you press it, it shows you the EPG for the current playing channel. See below image.

Reality is, these apps are fine for "basic" use if all you have is a PC. And I even use it for the occasional testing or when I am on a business trip and want to use my laptop to watch something. But for sure not for my everyday TV watching.
They will never be able to give you a TV STB experience. I prefer BuzzTV boxes. They offer you a nice "cable" or "sat" style experience, with EPG matrix, and nicer layouts.

For wicked IPTV, I just use Firefox, and use the web player. (great feature). Or I just use the native Windows IPTV Smarters app if I need to.

sfvip player i still say hands down the best player there is! look for 25 bucks buy a onn box the streaming box
its open source install the sfvip player on it its all you will ever need lol!i get ppl complaining to me why their iptv doesnt work on their media box but does on the sfvip player its the software you dont have those problems with sfvip

i dont think at this time any other player can do what the sfvip player can do
theres more to if you know the tricks.

for those onn boxers the voice remote works with the svip player just go to search

The truth is, there is NOT that much in terms of IPTV players for windows and I am not a fan of smarters either but for a single service, it works fine. But for testing, I always use SFVIP.

You mention the onn box and to insall sfvip player on it. Aren't most (if not all) onn media boxes Android based (even the latest 2023 version) ? Is there an android version of sfvip player ? I thought it was only x86 and x64 versions (unless something has changed recently).

Thanks for the suggestions, gentlemen.

I tried as Emporium suggested---using CBC Montreal (as in his attachment) with the playlist hidden,
using USER + PASS
but when I move the mouse there is no EPG bottom in top right. Same version of SFVIP as in Emporium's, and
on a Win10 machine.

Anyway, I appreciate all the suggestions and will continue to experiment with it while I use the web player for day to day tv.

i know this is a little off topic talkin about the onn box
but does concern the sfvip player sorry to the op

i got the info from a dev on a site i was givin vip status
he has asked vip`s not to leech the software, out of repects
all i can tell you is that it can be found.What i understand
its run through an xml sfvip player is in a database then acts
like a browser??lot of work went into this one its over my head lol

if you have a onn box this dev site has the firmware
pretty much in order has a few other things no add
youtube and ota but there are a few other sites as well
this one has the firmware pick up others like magisk

Do you have any idea as to why the EPG is working on yours but not on mine?
We are both using the same version--1.2.5.7 of SFVIP.
Is there something in the settings that needs to be turned on?
I am stumped!

I honestly have no clue. I tried 2 services (1 of my subs, and 1 that I found online on one of the public posting sites) and both had EPG.
You using MAC, user/pass, or M3U ? You sure the service has EPG ?

Yes, I know wicked has 7 days. Actually wicked was the sub that I tested (xc api - user/pass login).

Yes using wicked with user/pass.
SFVIP1.2.5.7 as shown in the clip which you attached.
Windows 10 desktop.
