Hello, I’m watching OK4 and my BuzzTv XRS4900 which has Time+Shift which means I should be able to Rewind Pause Fast forward live TV like a PVR, but it doesn’t work like that, unless I actually record something and re-watch it.

Am I misunderstanding Time-Shift or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance!

And keep in mind that time-shift is not "catch-up". Don't confuse the 2.

The timeshift buffer only starts when you change to the channel. If you change channel and come back, the timeshift buffer starts all over again for the current channel you are on. So you can only navigate the parts that you have actually watched.

Catchup is different. Catchup is like a revolving PVR of 48 to 72 hours (can vary from one server to another). Catchup will allow you to watch or navigate within any program that falls within the Catch-up duration defined by the server and only on the channel that have catch-up Active. Keep in mind that OK servers, including OK4, do NOT have catch-up option.

Thanks for the info. What servers actually allow Catchup? Maybe Diablo Pro? Or Wicked?

I tried changing settings on the main settings screen under picture settings and auto frame rate. Whatever I selected canceled my pvr time-shift. Time-shift is still selected under pvr options but it no longer works.

What happened is: I went from having one closed caption to four closed captioned options available.

Can you help me get my time-shift to work again please?

Thanks in advance!
