XC API Vs. M3U

Can someone that knows, please explain the difference between these two options?

All I know is XC API Login requires a username/password, but where do these come from? Does someone decide them for you or do you decide upon purchase?

What’s EMU? I know it stands for Emulation but how does one get this option and how does it work?

not sure why you're bringing up emu since it's irrevalant for iptv
the difference between xc and m3u to me is having a custom channel list and epg
I prefer xc since server gives me a 7 day epg and I can make my own favourite lists on my x5

I’m sure you know, everything you wrote can also be done from Mac Server. I’m afraid your not telling me everything!

xc is a software that requires a user/password that will get you
an epg but is a m3u there are m3u playlists that do not require
a user/password and are played back in vlc simple pot player but wont
playback in a app like smarters paid vs free

copy this to a notepad name it comedy.m3u save it playback in vlc

username/passwords are handled differently depending on the host some assign you username/passwords
some you can chose your own some you can chose your own but may require a email/password or a user/user

macs are a different entity....
