Howdy Kid's, anyone having YouTube audio problems lately? I have been noticing that on some loud sounds on some (but not all) videos that the audio tends to sound like it's breaking up, or crackling, I can play music videos with no problems, but some videos sound funny at some times. I can't record it or I would post it.
This happens on FireFox and Opera, I haven't tried others yet.

Are you using Win-10 and the latest firefox update ? because I have read on some of the forums
the Latest update to Firefox is causing audio issues on Some PC's with Win-10 ?

Try (enabling/disabling) HW acceleration in both Browsers, could it have something to do with Codecs ?
I don't seem to have any of the audio issues you mention, I too am using Win-7 Ultimate 64 bit with latest Firefox esr 115.2 ver.
I also have K-lite codecs installed, on-board sound no sound card.

Might be something with the drivers for the onboard sound, as I'm on a different computer and don't have those problems, may be time to check update or reinstall some audio drivers.
Will check back if i fix it.

Check in device manager see if any conflicts maybe screwing with things
But usually sound either works or doesn't, as far as Drivers go, could a speaker/sound plug be loose
or not plugged in all the way etc.
The easiest way I have found to update "Drivers All At Once" or separately is with Driver Booster
much better than looking for them from the Manufacture which is Time consuming etc.
I have never had a problem using it.

New problem, youtube is now freezing up at around 3/4'rs of the video program, this on all PC's here. (10 PC's 4 laptops, running widows 7 ultimate to windows 10 pro) have checked internet speed and it's at 110 Mbps, so no problems there.
Have reset the ISP hotspot and router several times, other web sites are OK, this one it fine, this occurs with or without a VPN on or off.

Are you using SSD's on those PC's etc. in reading on some of the forums they say to
enable gaming mode, and also change Power plan to Highest performance, and not to Over-Clock ram
Rather run at stock speed. Just what I have read

maybe just to many saved caches in your browser?i had a problem editing
a video in studio for my channel both freezing and audio breaking up it
was just to many saved caches causing the problem.

This is funny, I just tried the video that was freezing badly on the PC's on my Ipad, worked fine....Might be something with microslut and youtube at my end.
Will have to look deeper into this later.

DxDiag ("DirectX Diagnostics") is a diagnostics tool used to test DirectX functionality and troubleshoot video- or sound-related hardware problems. DirectX Diagnostic can save xml or text files with the scan results. This file is often requested by support professionals as a way to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with DirectX. Solution:
To obtain a DxDiag log:
Windows 7/8/8.1:
On the Start menu (Windows), click Run.
In the Run dialog box, enter DXDIAG.
In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool dialog box, choose Save All Information..., click Save.
In the Save As dialog box, make sure that the file type is (.TXT).
Enter a name for the file. Click Save.
Direct X drivers may be a little stale..............covers Win7,8
I would suggest updating Direct X drivers

Ran that program, for both 32 and 64 bit, nothing found, DirectX drivers look to be up to date.

Update.....I took one of my laptops that has the youtube problems I'm talking about over to a friends house, it didn't have the problems I'm talking about, watched several of the videos with problems and they all ran fine, he is on a different ISP then I am.(satellite provider)
So it may be related to my ISP, I'm going to talk with them today and see what the heck is up.

Did you clear your saved cache it could go back as far as you owned your pc.
just a note on another isp the saved cache on your pc from your isp probably
wont effect its preformance on your friends isp does that sound right?

Update, I found the problem, after talking with a tech from my ISP, we located the problem, it was an update to the DVR software that runs my video surveillance cameras,(came as a bundle) the update was around the time of the start of the problems with YouTube, I went back one step with the software for that program, (after talking with the software provider) and it hasn't done it since.
I turned off the auto update function for that system, and have downgraded (one step back) all connected PC's and laptops that use that software, the software provider is looking into what may be the problem.
Now I wonder why they didn't get reports from other users of this DVR software......Hummmmm.
And the testing at my friends house worked OK as he doesn't have a video security system, so the software I use never activated.(no signals from any cameras)
Many thanks to all that replied and helped out.
