It’s the team that snuck into the playoffs with a shootout win in Game No. 82 vs. the team that snuck into the playoffs with an overtime loss in Game No. 82. Or, if you prefer, the team that rallied from a 3-0 series deficit in the conference semifinal vs. the team that knocked off the regular-season champions and then the defending Stanley Cup champions.
It’s the Flyers vs. the Canadiens in an Eastern Conference final that nobody saw coming.
The Habs, of course, did it with the netminding heroics of Jaroslav Halak(notes) and suffocating team defense on Alex Ovechkin(notes) and Sidney Crosby(notes), but don’t forget about Mike Cammalleri’s playoff-leading 12 goals and the offensive contributions of Brian Gionta(notes) and Tomas Plekanec(notes).
Or the timely scoring of grinders Maxim Lapierre(notes), Dominic Moore(notes) and Travis Moen(notes). Or Hal Gill(notes) playing through a 50-stitch cut in Game 7 against Pittsburgh. Or raw rookie defenseman P.K. Subban(notes) being called up from the minors, having never skated a second in the NHL, and suddenly leading the blue line in ice time. Or the fact the Habs are winning without their best player this side of Halak, defenseman Andrei Markov(notes) (who, by the way, is skating again). Scott Gomez(notes) isn’t scoring, but his playmaking acumen has returned in the form of 10 assists in 14 games. And of course, Josh Gorges(notes), Gill’s partner in shutting down opposing superstars. Everyone’s doing their part in Montreal and that makes the Canadiens very dangerous indeed. Just ask Crosby’s Penguins, who had no answer in Games 6 and 7 as the Habs outplayed the defending Cup champs by a large degree.
Then there’s the Flyers, enjoying a miracle run of their own. Philadelphia entered the postseason with its backup goalie and No. 4 netminder as its only healthy masked men. But Brian Boucher(notes) outplayed New Jersey’s Martin Brodeur(notes) in the first round in a series that cost the Flyers key forwards Simon Gagne(notes), Jeff Carter(notes) and Ian Laperriere(notes). Boucher, naturally, twisted a knee midway through Round 2 and limped aside for the Flyers’ No. 3 stopper, Michael Leighton(notes), fresh off a two-month injury layoff. Curtains, right? Not in Philly, bub. The Flyers fed Gagne a cheesesteak sandwich and threw him back in the lineup, and then pulled off the impossible by beating the Bruins four consectuive times, rallying from a 3-0 first-period deficit in Game 7. Gagne scored four times in those four clutch victories, including the series winner late in the third.
So, which team will continue its wild playoff ride into the Stanley Cup final? Logic says to go with the hot goalie, Halak, and the team that has improved in every outing, the Canadiens. The Flyers, though, have Chris Pronger(notes) and Mike Richards(notes) and the knowledge they pulled off the unlikeliest of comebacks.
We’re going with the Flyers in seven.

Montreal's suffocating defence and superior goaltending will frustrate the Flyers from game 1, Habs in five. GO HABS GO.:yeaah:

next game is the key for MTL.
they need to go back to MTL with 1-1, to keep all their chances to advance to the cup final.

It could go with the home team winning the games with the 7th being the deciding match.. But definitely he habs better wake up next game.. If not there may be riots again in montreal... Oppps I forgot the riots where not because of the game it was just an oportunity for some known hooligans to smash and grab...

i'm sure the Habs will show a different face in the second game.
they need the miracles saves from Halak and also they need to use their speed against slow Phily defensman like Pronger.

Pronger is slow but real dirty... He only gets penalised half the time he should..
They will adapt i'm shure.. They are a young team and they where probably overconfident last game..
Pronger is only one of their issues.. Habs will have to play a clean body game, intimidation .. Its got to get physical against the Flyers.

Flyers will beat Montreal again , maybe not same as the first game , but they look more stable that Montreal .
In the 3 periods of game they couldn't get any score , not even close than one ( At least could get one ) , If you try it to compared to Penguins game , will be not the same , Pens get down because they always was feeling the " Champs " of the league , and the Ego from some players , bring them down as many see it already.
Besides , Chicago look in the same way .
A goalie make difference's ( Halak ) Yes , Its made a lot of differences , but again , If the players cant score even one goal , they will get not game plan , Montreal fail in a big bunch of Pucks rain and Im pretty sure that they will get not return .
About Sharks , well , they look tired , and they doesn't have a coordination & strong game like a Chicago , Like it or Not , The Final will be between Chicago & Flyers !!.
About Pronger , that is hes Job Bro , same as Byfuglien ( Chicago ) , they play like that not because they want to , because they Can , and they are so efficient that they get score and got physically over the rival team .
That is why They play like that , because they Know what they do .
Problem is the rest of the teams , get frustrated and they start to get impatient with those players , because they feel like a they are doing whatever they can and not one say nothing .
Thinking about it , is someone come all the time and hit you , you will hit back too ? , of course yes , but again , they can play clean as Dental office , but they will be not successful if they dont enter to the real man Game !!.
After all , the stronger one is who survive rigth ??.

Two more games and Bye Bye Habs + Sharks !!! . :yeaah: :yeaah:
Watch out there , next 2 games in Montreal go to the Habs.. I think they figured out they cant beat the flyers playing a physical game...
Montreal in 7 with the habs winning the last game in Philly..

I dont think so bro , since they can't score just one " Honor " goal , and also They Don't have any good goalie rigth now ( Price just a replacement Goalie , Halak , Cammalleri , Gionta , Gomez , Pyatt , Gorges , Subban are Too over rated Players !! ) .
They fail again by 0 , This will be an interesting game upcoming to Flyers , since they got the big opportunity to beat Up and finished the " beatable " Team from Montreal in they own House !!.
About Physical game by Montreal , No way Jose !! , They got not player to defeat the stronger lines from Flyers , probe of that is the two pass previous games .
In the End , Flyers & Hawks are taking the Lead , this will be a final game between those two big Unbeatable teams , you cant go wrong with this final Between Hawks & Flyers !! :yeaah: :yeaah: .
Oh , by the way , for the reward of Habs Fans , they are good to get the Third Position and Sharks in Four !!!! . :yeaah:
Umm I tagged this post to bring it up after the Habs win in 7..LOL:innocent::tehe:

The reality is that habs will not gonna make it this time , maybe next one , but Not this time .
It take 4 game to win , yeah , of course , they are under 2 already :yeaah: , and in they own house they will be finished !! .
They got no team to beat Flyers , and that is the only true answer , most of the Habs fans thinking that they will be re-born again , still believing in halak :tehe: , that guy is over already , so , if you believe in miracles , go this Sunday to church and get lot of candles and pray a lot for you habs , because they will need it !! :yeaah:
Going with the Flyers here !!! :yeaah:
Seems I will be serving crow after game 4..LOL Will have lots of Molson ex so you guys can wash it down...LOL
