A text message-mixup led to a new Thanksgiving tradition for Wanda Dench and Jamal Hinton.The pair met in 2016 after Dench tried to write her grandson about their holiday plans without realizing he had changed his phone number. Hinton, a teenager she had never met, got the message instead. After he jokingly asked if he could join anyway, Dench welcomed him, and they became fast friends. The two have shared every Thanksgiving for the past six years.
