It works amazingly well. The water returning back into the pool is about 12 - 15 degrees hotter than the temp of the pool. And the wheels allow me to move it throughout the day to get the best angle from the sun.

That method works.A friend of mine has a similar setup on the roof of his house to heat the pool. The water comes out VERY hot.

my buddy has same setup on his garage roof as well
when I was younger we had a round above ground and the walls were supported by dark vertical gunwales that held water
every night you would open the valves and the hot water would transfer to the pool

i have a similar setup only instead of that small tubing i have 1''3/4 pvc
on my garage roof you can get 10 or 15 degrees but depends on the size of the pool
and the temp outside and that tubing cant hold much if its 82 outside the
pool is to cold for me i can get it to go to 90 in the pool but if it drops below
82 outside the pool will drop from 90 too.

this guy must have a kiddy pool!

ya my buddy has 16 coils for a 40'
when I was a kid we would heat up the pool and my dad would scrape the ice out of the chest freezer and toss it in the pool the next day
then he started freezing bags of water
it was a battle yet he was the one who bought that type of pool...lol

tubing is i assume 3/4 because of the garden hose, and how long are the coils? and i assume there is a pump of some sort to circulate the water
