thought i would start a thread, hoping to get straight answer, with the mpeg 4 upgrade in full swing, will the IKS hosts be honest and let us know where there are, what i mean, this mpeg 4 upgrade is removing the majority of irds that you can obtain the info needed to run a card server, so unless you are using a 9242 or 9241 your running on borrowed time. If you have been swapped out and turned off emm updates then you could run till tiers expire, so is any one going to be honest and let us know, i know there is no gurantees here

Where there's a will, and a need,there's a way...but iks has taken a distant back seat to iptv.I know that the internet required to run iptv isn't available to all, hence the need for iks,but that number is dropping it seems.That being said, I say the end of iks is upon us.I will miss it myself, even though I have excellent internet/iptv hardware & service.I will miss the stability & redundancy.Thanks to all that kept it going as long as you did.
P.S...I'm not gonna throw out my stb's just yet...lol.

I have not used IKS for a long time.My guess is that if IKS is in HD(Mpeg 4) already,they are probably already using HD Receivers.If not,my guess is that they will find a way.Its the same Smartcards on both the HD and non HD receivers.

why pay for iptv unless your a tv junkie with cband or a pc you should get what you need. eg. redzone sunday thanksgiv movie ufc mite be a delay but its freeeee. iks is different if you have the equipment you want to use it good luck.

iks was brought here from Europe where they started newcamd the protec 9600ip`s
had the same motherboard as the tessat and i pro 1000 later the nfusion.
their Astra bird has been doing mpeg4 and the protec`s last i saw were up to date
like i say i m not into iks anymore but if i was one of those sat forums might have
an american channel list/loader for the latest models over there its worth a look see
thats how it got started here......................
