I have a good one. I'm getting constant freezing on some channels. It's happening on two Buzz X5's and also on the Buzz E5. It freezes about every minute for about 2 seconds. When I connect to a Formuler Z10 Pro there is no freezing at all. I'm hooked up direct to the modem. I even tried with a wifi connection and it's still freezing. The modem is the newest Ignite Gateway from Shaw/Rogers. I contacted others with the same Buzz boxes and they are not freezing on the same channels. One person is with Shaw and the other with Telus. Would there be any settings in the Buzz boxes that could fix this?

Yupper. Went from primary to back up and it was worse.
It seems like the modem doesn't like the Buzz boxes only because the Formular has no freezing issues.

Could it be a IP conflict happening ? maybe log into modem and asign a IP Address or mac address to the buzz boxes
Are the Buzz's setup as static IP or Dynamic IP (modem asigns a IP)

It seems the Buzz is flighting with the internet modem. When the Buzz is connected I notice my TV constantly pops up a windows type message saying your internet connection is disconnected then pops up your internet is connected. Once I connected the Formular no issues whatsoever.

Set up to Dynamic

then possibly the Buzz's need a static ip or mac addy for them to work right, instead of the modem
asigning one all the time "DYNAMIC" I'm not setup on IPTV, just offering some suggestions for network setup
router/modem setup etc. I suggest log into router/modem and have a look around in there for anything saying
iptv settings, Quaility of service, or IP/Mac assignment etc. My TP-Link router has settings for IPTV IP/Mac assignment etc.
Are you using a VPN ? IF SO that may have something to do with it possibly.

folks with a "DYNAMIC" ip are missing out in many ways when it comes to iptv lol

So your suggestion is to change over to static?

So your suggestion is to change over to static?
depends on what you want to do if your running scanners static is best
because you can get banned if you dont watch what your doing statics
have a range 100 up and 100 down dynamics only the one.
say as a user on one of your servers that gets banned for running to many connections
as long as you dont remove the user and hes on a static when his range changes the ban will be undone.
sometimes depending on the server these sutomatiic banning can go unseen on a panel like when scanning
and viewing a provider at the same time if you get my meaning.

All these theories are great, but it would not explain why his Formuler works fine and no freezing.
BTW: Do you have TS (Timeshift) enabled ? I used it for a while, but then stopped because I would get microfreezes regularly. I thought it was my service and I eventually realized it was that. There were many updates since then, but I never re-tested that feature again.

I never used timeshift. The E5 I tested was new out of the box.

Not using a VPN with the box
Are the Boxes wired or wireless ? if wireless that could cause the dropped connection etc.

Always hardwired. I tried wifi just to see if there was a difference but was the same. Also I'm only a foot away from the modem.

Try clearing data
Do a backup and restore first

I have Norton 360. I wanted to add the Buzz X5 so I could activate the VPN to see if that would help with the freezing but it says it's not compatible. Am I doing something wrong? If I can't is there another free VPN I can load to try out?

I found a free VPN called Proton VPN. What I find now is half the channels don't freeze and others still do.

I wouldn't think that would be the issue only because the E5 I connected was brand new out of the box.

Fair assumption, but I I had one box (don't recall if it was my B5 or E5) that had strange glitching new out of box. After trying everything, I decided to do a reset (since I had not spent too much time customizing it anyhow). Don't know what it was, but something must have gotten latched during configuration and the reset happened to clear it. Not saying it is your issue, but if you are going to do a reset, the earlier, the better :)
ProtonVPN is not bad, but has much flexibility, and their free servers are typically above 80% workload, so they are great for browsing, but not always the best for streaming. You can also try windscribe VPN. They have a free tier which is 10GB per month (as long as you use your email to register - 2GB only if you don't want to use your email), and no payment info required. I know 10GB is not going to do wonders for streaming if you need it full time, but for testing it is a great option. And the 10GB allocation resets every month.
And for the Windscribe client for buzz box, I would recommend you download the one from their site that is for AndroidTV (ie: something like the nvidia Shield), the interface is way better that the generic android version you will get from aptoide store. It is designed for use with a remote, no need for mouse cursor control.

I did a factory reset, added the Proton VPN and now a lot of channels don't freeze but a lot that I first go to freezes about 2-5 times within the first minute then they stop freezing. Would the internet providers target single accounts? I only ask is I have other customers hat I supplied X5's and they are in the same town I'm in with the same internet provider and have no issues.

I really doubt that the isp would be targeting specific clients. Not saying impossible, but unlikely.
Are you wired or wireless ? If wireless, any possibility of trying wired ?
Are you using ISP modem/router, or do you have your own router behind the ISP modem ? If you have your own router behind ISP modem, you are sure you are not double-NAT ?
Are any of these "customers" close enough friends that they would allow you to go by with your box and try your box there ? Just throwing it out there :) That way you could at least try to eliminate a variable.

I would try a different modem/router than the New Ignite Gateway from Shaw/Rogers that you are currently using.
Did this freezing happen before you updated/upgraded to the Ignite Gateway from Shaw/Rogers.

Appreciate all the feedback. My internet sub is expiring soon. I'm currently with Shaw/Rogers and all in all have been happy. They have a bunch of packages on sale right now. Any suggestions on which one would suit my needs? They're packages have download speeds of 500mbps, 1gbps, 1.5gbps and 2gbps. I don't need overkill. My son games a lot, I personally use the internet for IPTV and my laptop. I'm thinking if I increase download speed maybe the freezing will stop.

Your other customers that don't have issues, are they using the same internet Equipment as you (router/modem etc.)

I presently have a 400mbit plan and I typically have 2 devices streaming, during the day I am on "teams" meetings most of the day when I work from home and both kids are either on zoom calls for lectures, or both gaming. Only time I have ever truly hit the limits is when both kids launch their steam engines on their PCs, and the damn thing starts to download 70GB "updates". But I have fixed that, but changing the settings and limiting the steam engine to 100mbps on each PC, so never taking up more than 50% of available bandwidth.
I think it is more critical to have a decent router and properly configured. In my case, I hated the all-in-one wifi/modem/router combo provided by my ISP, and I was lucky enough to have the option to disable the routing and wifi features and essentially put the unit into bridge mode. I have my own router (based on pfsense) and 2 dedicated wifi access points for my wifi to properly cover both floors. I used to have an ASUS router, which was great, but it was getting old and the home layout (due to cement walls) needed at least an extra wifi access point So at that point I decided to go with all separate devices. Nice part is that, because I have my own router and access points configured and the ISP device is only a basic modem (since it is bridged), even if I change ISP, I don't need to reconfigure anything on my internal network. All the rules, VLANS, dhcp lease reservations, etc. are not affected.
And when I had initially purchased my home (nearly 30yrs ago) I had ran 2x CAT5 ethernet cables (CAT 5e was not introduced yet) from the utility room.to each room. Even today it does not have any issue with gigabit network. I have replaced a small portions of it since I do have some 10GbE in my home office, but for the most part nearly everything is wired with CAT 5 and only phones, IoT devices, and tablets are WiFi.
So even at 500mbps, I do not think that is what will slow anything down or cause buffering. I know many who have WAY less than that, and no issues.
