I see posts from very recent new members offering various subscriptions and Panels for multiple Iptv services. Is there a process to vet these people? How do we know it's not a scam or even worse a trap?

I guess you don't, do you...but there are certainly enough reputable vendors selling a variety of services here that have proven that they're trustworthy. Not sure we need any more than we have.lol.
Sorry...not a mod though.

Like I tell most people getting into this hobby. Don't "invest" more than you are willing to lose. Start small, and you can grow more and more as you feel more comfortable or you have made enough from previous transactions that it will not kill you if everything goes bust.

Resellers, servers, etc.. are there today and can be gone tomorrow. Even a server that has been around for years, can turn around tomorrow and decide (for a number of different reasons), that they are closing shop and going underground. We all hope it won't happen, but we have seen many come and go.

I would say always ask for something without paying? if you get it meaning theres less risk vs not getting at all. you know what I mean. like nobodyspecial said everyone is new at one point. as for trap then its very hard to judge and go for prepaid gift card options..etc
end of the day its your call and theres good people with great reputation and doing it from years and no compliant so far from anybody about them. check the forum and see how old there threads are will give you hints :)

It would likely bring up legal issues if the site vetted services

Its no different for the sellers, they have to check who they sell and give urls to. Membership of a couple years and activity here is a good start.

I totally agree with you about membership here plus activity. I see one new seller offering 16 different services, subscriptions and panels, joined in December 2023. It's not that long ago that some of my friends received $3,500.00 demand letters so it's important to be very cautious.
