Hello and thank you in advance.

I have been out of the loop for over 15yrs, my last receiver was a Pansat2500a (I still have it) , which was in working order when I stopped due to moving where I could not put up my dish, and now that I am able to put it up at my new house I wanted to get back into tinkering into this hobby again, so I am not sure what type of receiver I should get? I believe I have a 39" dish with motor. I know a lot of things have changed and not sure what the receiver requirements are now. I would like to be able to load Bins to it (i think that's what is was called back in the day LOL).
I know that I am a little bit rusty and live in north America So I know which sats are for North America.

I am not looking to spend tons of money but I want a good quality and easy to use, more than one option would be good to pick from.

Thank you again for your help.

That would depend on what Sats. you want to hit etc. As far as FTA (FREE-TO-Air) there are No new FTA receivers (IKS)
Being made anymore, More & More are Moving to IPTV (Internet Streaming services/boxes etc.)
you can find used FTA Boxes (dreamlink T5 or Sonicview 8000HD) for 91/82 Sats. using IKS.
I suggest you do some reading in the IKS forums & receiver forums of the 2 I listed as well as others
To bring you up to speed on what's happening "NOW" etc.

Your going to need internet for iks or iptv. So starting up again scrape the dish and go iptv

So what you guys are saying is FTA is dead?

I have messed around with IPTV on my Nvidia shield.

I see some receivers on ebay but not sure what ones are good or what to look for in them.

and as far as to which sats I would like to hit would be all that I can here in the united states. :)

As far as Dish & Direct in USA, it is Dead with FTA, You might try OTA (over the air) in your location if close to
A broad-casting station/tower etc. and since you have messed with IPTV it maybe more advisable to stick/explore
it further. I suggest again that you read up on the different receivers & IKS Forums for info on what's going on.
