Dish moved, switch failed if using one, LNB Quit, loose cable, weather, power supply, "Big Bird" Landed on LNB
Just about anything can cause it, have to track it down.

Unlikely both lnb would quit at same time. No wind, no weather, no switch, no birds. What do you mean, power supply? Cables are tight. Can spliters fail?

power supply is probably not putting out enough power

I bet on either the 8psk or power supply.Remove the hd module & try to tune in a non-hd channel on the 91 sat.

Are you getting any messages like Bad signal,No signal showing on TV Screen ?
If so then it is most likely the Power Adapter (plugs in wall) that feeds your T5, especially if it
Was the original one that came with the box, have you changed it out lately, you need one 12v 4-6amp
For the T5 to operate correctly.

Yes splitters can fail.

Try feeling the wall mounted power supply,(wall wart) if it's warm it's probably working, if all channels are in the red then it's probably something in the receiver.
The 97 red reading could mean that the receiver is working and receiving a signal from the LNB's, it would go to zero or something much lower then 97 if the LNB's or switch had quit.
I would go with the noofs suggestion and remove the HD module and try a SD channel.

Will try new splitter.
These splitters you talk about, where are they located in your setup, if between the LNB Feed to your T5
it won't work Properly, the receiver switching will get all out of wack over time. far as I recall/remember & I could
wrong on this, the receiver has to talk to the LNB on a constant bases, having splitters in-between mucks things up.

if main is on vertical so does secondary for it to work
same applies for lnb in and out on receiver

if you been using the original power adapter for 8-10yrs. your lucky cause the original ones fail in short order
I will bet Dimes To Donuts it is the power adapter. the tell-tale sign of it failing is the BAD/NO SIGNAL message

With the dual lnb, you have to have a splitter to get both 82+91 SATs. Has been working good for many years. Yea they are located right after the bev dish.

OK then, that is not called a splitter, it is either a combiner or a switch like a SW21 or SW44
Or a Tone switch combiner etc. Splitters That I recall take the Single feed and split it into 2 sources/locations
like for 2-TV's etc. Those do not work with FTA Sat. equipment because they are not switches or combiners.

OK, Then it is a BI-Directional splitter for Sat, not a regular "Cable splitter" which don't work for sat equipment.

Go to dishpointer dot com put in your location what dish being used & what sats. you want to hit
and the program will give you the info to where you need to point the dish, including a line of sight bar from your dish location

If the module is defective,it will interfere with both signal streams. If you had of tried this before you reaimed the dish that you said didn't move,it would have been a better test. Now you don't know if it's signal lost beacuse of component failure or dish alignment

have you gone to dishpointer dot com yet ? if not then I suggest you do that "FIRST" to be able to properly aim "YOUR DISH"
It will "SHOW YOU" where to point from "Your Exact Location"
You have to get your dish pointed & locked on to the sat or sats you want to hit, before you do anything else

would you be able to get your hands on a older Bell receiver, they work way better for Dish pointing, and will lock on to
sat. (91/82) much easier than the T5 for pointing etc. You would hook up direct (no switches etc.) to 91 first for max signal
and depending on what dish setup you have (20" dish-500 with legacy LNB's) it would be a matter of (rotating/twisting-skew) the
Dish for 82. do you know what type of LNB's you have ? (legacy, dish pro, dishpro/plus) because the dish-pro & dish-pro/plus have
a built-in switch, which you have to account for in receiver dish settings setup.

You're in a tough spot now because you don't know if it's a hardware issue, or simply aiming the dish. You have disturbed the dish aim now,so you're staring from ground zero.If there's someone you trust to send your DL to that has a functioning system, I would try that.At least you can confim/eliminate the state of the DL itself. If it's good, you're down to dish aim/cabling/switches/lnbs.I have no idea where you live but I'm willing to help if I can.

I am not certain if this problem fits this slot or not but I am experiencing a weird situation with a T5 on '91. The S&Q bars are red when I select sat setting but I am receiving most channels???? This should not be. I also have lost Foxnews on 1507 (just noticed that this morning) and attempted the possible fixes provided on another thread but no luck. Does anyone have an explanation regarding the red signal & quality bars but still receiving channels. There has been frequent brief freezes for the past couple of days and I thought it may have been due to a server problem. Now I think the T5 may be having weird problems instead. Thanks
