If I were to hit my shin on that, I would take the thing off & put it in the rear storage area of of the Chevy...through the closed glass hatch.

I would just sue them
if it's illegal to leave a removable hitch on when not towing then this would be an easy win

I just used the head cover on an old Big Bertha driver...............allot more forgiving now.
