Got a call from a client that everything is freezing, including VOD, which I thought was weird. Using OK4, but switched him to OK3 and still the same. I had him reboot everything along with the router and still the same thing.
He is still on Buzz4 so I sent an email to have it updated to Buzz5.
I couldn't remember where clearing cache is on that box either. Could him still being on Buzz4 be the issue or is it something else. All the channels he was freezing on, worked fine on my box.
Bought the box over a year ago and no probs till the last few days he said.

I told him to wait till the box is updated, hopefully some time tomorrow. Other thing, how do you make VLC the main player for VOD?
Can't remember how I did it before.
Thanks

In BuzzTV 5, you can hit Menu->Settings->configuration, and the players are at the top. 1 for LiveTV (I typically use primary), and 1 for VOD/TV Series. For VOD/TV Series, you can choose external if you want, and then you can choose whichever player you want.

Thank you for that.....I couldn't figure it out but it must be that I'm on Buzz5 and he is still on Buzz4.

On BuzzTV 4, I don't think you had an option for external player. And I don't recall 100%, but but pretty sure that LiveTV and VOD did not have separate player settings on BuzzTV 4.

When I was walking him through the change, he couldn't see anywhere to change the player but it was on my screen so BuzzTV4 must not have had it.

Did you try updating it manually?

It was there for LiveTV but not VOD+TVseries is what I meant......Sorry for the confusion.

No, actually forgot about that. I will have him try if the update wasn't already sent.

Buzz replied back to me and said they needed the mac from the bottom of the box for some reason.....They also told me to try the 2015, which I called the guy and he was going to try when he got home. I assume he will call me tomorrow and Ill update then.

They need to know the mac to be able to send update in case it's not on the update server

Manual update to Buzz5 seems to be working good for now. Thanks again for the '2015' update idea!
