All depends on how important the roadway is, and Governments etc. fighting over who is going to Fund the project

oddie blvd has been under construction for over an year, to day its full of cones, not single piece of construction equipment, so what does the the city do? raise the gas tax another .03$ a gallon, we now pay over .50$ a gallon for roads. you see others get the job done in a few weeks, tired of seeing 3-4 guys standing around with their finger up their A-- shooting the sh--, and you can bet that next year someone will dig a trench and screw it up

the city workers ripped up the 4 corners near my house just 2 weeks ago
and they resurfaced all 4 with a combination of asphalt and cement along
with new steel cover plates

we were all surprised and thought "how about That ,,, the city spent some money, Finally

well, this morning there was a crew there, ripping one corner up ,,, the whole
thing, even the cement ,,, Ontario Hydro was on site ,, so we figured someone
screwed up

this afternoon new forms were installed and we figure they'll pour cement soon

All to say, how stu-pid in todays day and time to have miscommunication when
every single one of us have our heads buried in our smart phones for one reason
or another

Ever wonder where the annual property tax hike dollars go ??

Unacceptable !!

During WW2, the Alaska highway is 1500 miles long and took 8 months to build through rugged terrain. As you said, it depends how important it is.
