The B5 is the entry level box. You want it for basic IPTV usage, it works great (my mom uses one). But the CPU is nowhere near the CPU of the Classic/X5/U5. Neither is the RAM and onboard storage. And there is no USB3 port for external storage access (it is USB2 only). And the B5 comes with an IR remote, not BT.

In my opinion, the Classic is still the best bang for the buck.

I did not take down anything or modified my post. even when someone recommended you the box its your responsibility to check everything before you order. however, your classic choice is 100% better choice. rest our frind Emporium explained you very well above this post.

Recording was not working on pvr setting or one touch record so i did factory reset now it works great but i can't delete any recordings, home button i can see all my recordings but the red "delete all" button does nothing, neither does the blue delete button, i bring up pvr , click recordings and the recordings are all there but the B5 menu comes up on the right of the screen at the same time and the remote controls that not the pvr menu, i have tried rebooting but no luck

Under PVR Options you have the storage locations set properly ?
You say recording all all there, I assume you tried to play them ?

I don't know what menu you are talking about on the right, I do not have that issue, and on pretty much all my buzz boxes. On the right it is typically the program EPG info/description that was recorded. Delete All (Red colored button) brings up a popup asking "Delete all recordings" with default selection on the right for "Cancel" and you scroll left to select "Delete all" to clear everything. Blue button (to delete single recording) also brings up a popup, but just says "Delete", and with default selection on the right for "Cancel" and you scroll left to select "Yes" to delete the single recording.

If you have any other menus to the right, please post a pic.

Considering you have done a reset on the box, I am assuming you have not gone crazy with different themes and stuff ? Just using the defaults ?

storage is set to internal, yes i can play them if i use the home button then where it says recordings click them,
i can not use pvr as soon as i push "grant permission it brings up the buzz tv 5 menu if i use pvr option on home screen or choose pvr from main menu, i can't use the remote other than to choose the options there clear cache, uninstaal updates, storage used, clear data, clear defaults etc i can not play the recordings, bring up the menu, delete any recordings.
, this only happened after i did factory reset, i have no way of taking a picture to post, i would try doing another factory reset but i would prefer not to loose all my recordings.
I was advised here to use M3U8 stream and live tv is primary, i have not use VOD, tv series, radio i only watch a few tv channels and maybe an hour a day in summer

what happens when you press pvr button
or menu/pvr/pvr recordings?

You say clear cache, data, etc.. you seem to be in the "settings" "Apps" screen somehow. Go down to permissions and select that and see if the app has "Storage" permissions. It could be a bizarre permissions issue.

Funny enough, I have never used PVR from home screen. Usually when I am in live TV, I hit the menu button on the remote, then scroll down to PVR and then all the different options.

it asks me to grant permission every damn time very frustrating, as soon as i grant it the buzz tv 5 menu appears from the right side version 5.0.935 BUZZ xr4000.tv and the remote w ill only control that

doesn't work as soon as i grant permission that buzz tv 5 menu pops up

Emporium

It pops it up, because it needs for you to GIVE it permissions. The app can not take permissions on it's own. It gives you the popup, and you should go to files and media, and enable the permission.

NOTE: Stop calling it the BuzzTV 5 menu, since it is NOT a buzztv 5 menu. It is an android OS menu, for the app (and every app has one).

i am just telling you what it says on my screen which is buzz tv 5, that fix worked great but makes no sense because i had permission granted under files and media but for some reason on the menu screen it was listed deny, changed it to allow and confirmed but the menu still said deny, did that 3 times and it worked .
I am use to a stb and i was told to never leave it running as they over heat so i switch it off when not in use, i am on limited internet so i assume if i leave the box connected to the internet it is consuming data 24 hrs a day although i only watch 1 hr of tv in summer so i pull the ethernet cord out, am i wrong?

When you said you did a reset, was it a hard reset (using the pin/button) method, or the soft reset (through the settings menu) ?

Hard reset is what I always recommend for a true clean start. Soft resets can leave stuff behind sometimes. Obviously something glitched with the permissions, and that could be some "timing" issues. After a reset, you should typically leave the box alone for 5 or 10 minutes after getting to the first home screen, to allow it to install the 3rd party apps which it needs to install and run any scripts to update various things on the box. If you try to go too quick, it may cause some things to fail which will drag on far a while.

i was not aware of a difference is that hard reset covered somewhere here? I did it in menu settings i read that info on another site stbtalk.com, and no i didn't leave the box alone for 10 mins but i will remember that in future.
I do appreciate your help i was not trying to have attitude as folk are saying but i see others post the same thing we don''t all understand iptv/ buzz box etc for us seniors it is a big learning curve especially for someone that does not use any other android device or have any device that uses apps

Hard reset procedure can be seen here:
https://www.satfix.to/showthread.php?212168-How-to-hard-reset&p=1305677#post1305677

Procedure is for an xrs4500 but procedure is identical for the Classic. On the Classic, if I recall, you also have a small button on the side, and if I recall well, that instead of putting a toothpick into the A/V hole, you can hold the side button instead as you plug it in. It serves the same purpose.
