seeing how football and baseball make so much money why can't they build their own stadiums and then use that property for tax right offs, again in this state the tax payers are paying for a baseball stadium in Vagas, because the big casinos wanted it, but then again i can understand why the Oakland A's are leaving lawless Oakland.

The ace for the big 4 is the state taxes on payroll

If you can imagine the big 4's 100 to 200 million dollar bench payroll
add to that the rest of the team payroll

Add the residual taxes

Multiply it over 20 year agreement for the stadium

the total favors the state ,, that's why they pay for it

the Golden State Warriors moved from Oakland and built their own stadium in SF, and its the little people that pay for these other stadiums, not the rich, i wonder now long sports fans will be able to continue to pay the price to watch what ever team they like,

TV Rights, that's why it costs the consumer/customer $100-200 or more a Month from the TV Providers to watch Garbage Channels etc.

Sports is a business FIRST --- a BILLION dollar business
advertising, promotions sponsors , = ticket sales

You see billion dollar owners in their private box watching
thier multi million dollar investment in play,, sipping Don Perignon ?

That's what it's all about

Us "fans" , we get to watch the hype on TV at home ,,, or if it's a big
game , we make it to a sports bar

Just an example of how rich sports are ... Travis Kelce paid 3 million
for the private box Taylor Swift and company were sitting in

My only problem with it is ,,,, I wasn't invited LOL

just think how much more money the NBA would have if it stopped supporting the WNBA

It's not "supporting" WNBA it's "investing" ---- there's the difference
Once they advertise and promote it to even 1/4 of what NBA brings in
everyone will be making $$$$$ and deservedly so ! .... Why not ??

One thing about sports ..... It's the only thing on TV that's real
