Does anyone have a guide, or a link to a guide, for using the recording function on the X5?

Tried my first scheduled recording today. X5 never started at the scheduled recording time. Tried again, still does not start. What am I doing wrong?

were you watching another channel?

did you set recording storage?

Okay, got a scheduled recording to run. But it only recorded 19 minutes of the 30 minute scheduled recording time. Also should the blue power light on the X5 not come on when the recording starts?

Was not watching another channel on the X5. I still watch most of my TV on IKS. xc api. Yes set recording storage to internal.

Back to the "were you watching another channel?". I was not watching another channel but I did not leave the X5 on the channel it was scheduled to record. But that should not matter should it?

try shutdown

Do I then shut the receiver off or leave it on for recording?

shut it off if you're not watching anything
the x5 has pvr+ and will wake up to record

I having a major problem. The Receiver keeps resetting to "No Signal - BuzzTV Check the source device is connected and powered on. Or press the INPUT button to select the input for the source device." Keeps doing that every time I start the receiver and go to a channel.

It connects for like 10 seconds then the error shows up.

Great, did the reset and got a new URL and sign-in from my provider. So far so good. Now I will get back to trying recording. Guess I should have noted which apps I had previously downloaded before doing the rest.:bawl:

Unfortunately I did not read this prior to resetting. Oh well just a bit more work.

I do not remember what apps I had installed prior to resetting the unit. Any recommendations as to what would be useful?:noidea:

that depends on your age and your hobby/interest. :)
