Images from the scene show the plane on its roof on the tarmac at Pearson.
In one audio recording reviewed by CP24, an air traffic control agent is heard saying that the aircraft is “upside down and burning.”

Staff at the airport have told CTV News that they have shut down all arrivals and departures at this time.
It is not immediately clear when air traffic will resume at Pearson.

The latest:

Ornge has said that three of the patients, including a child, sustained critical injuries
The 12 other patients were taken to local hospitals with mild injuries
Delta Airlines says that the flight was carrying a total of 80 people – 76 passengers and four crew.

All flights are currently suspended at Pearson International Airport

I hope everybody recovers. Yesterday had some serious winter storm pass through Toronto and Eastern Ontario with 25cm or more of snow accumulation , today high winds, colder temps and ice building up. Transportation board called in to investigate the cause..

They are diverting all flights from Toronto to Montreal. It's going to be awful busy there.

My buddy's son was coming in from Vancouver to Montreal, and they were diverted and landed in Winnipeg earlier today.

They apparently refueled and then flew into Montreal at 10:30pm.
