Having a prob with the craftsman garden tractor. Starts okay, won't stay running once the clutch is let out. Was running fine before I held the clutch in for an over extended time.

Have to cut the lawn!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check the safety switch under the seat. (If I remember correctly)

Hydrostatic are great trannys - they either work or don't . No in between .

As indicated sounds like the problem is in a safety switch . Start with the one under the seat and follow the wires back.

Got it figured out today and got a little lawn mowed, til the deck broke. Now need to get some welding done. Then took out the John Deere and got a litlle more done til the drive belt broke. Guess I'll be going to town tomorrow for repairs and welding. The main problem was it was all gummed up at the tranny pulley and the battery was very weak. Thanks for the help!
