ok, i got my NEW Vbox 6 hooked it up to receiver (pansat 3500s) and i keep getting this error code (Er2) is a No Pulses code. . .know all i did was remove the wires from my 4dtv receiver and plugged them into the back of the vbox.
if i do try to move it either by the bottons on top, the remote or via the stb it makes the jack jump and stop because its not seein the pulses. . .

i know for the sure ALL the wirin and the jack are good i even plugged them back into the 4dtv and they worked.

i tried usin the vbox as a standalone and the same error. . .tried it with one sensor wire in and both out, same thing.

i got another jack and plugged it up to the vbox, same problem.

i cant seem to find anything online with this problem, im seeni for the vbox II but nothign i see there has worked for me.

maybe a dead unit?

Try sanding down your two M wires(thicker ones) and reinsert into vbox. I know many who have had the same problem before, including myself.

well it still moves the jack. . .just moves a bit then stops then a bit more and stop all along the 'Er2' is on the screen

im not a person to give up but im was workin with a very small window. . .

my cousin brought the vbox for me from CAN and she is only here for a few days. . .i have already spoken to the store owner and he is willing to swap it out.

he was tellin me in about 3wks he should have the new vbox.

i tried a search but came up with nothing on new vbox7, 8, 9 or 10 lol. . .anyway this would be my exchange because i dont want the money, i need a positioner :) and i dont think he has anymore vbox 6

I don't have the vbox manual anymore but I remember at the back of it there were explanations for all types of error messages, do you still have it risk?

...now that I've become a vbox6 expert .:D

The manual says er2 = no pulses, possible cause - check if reed switch sensor is broken ( this one gets my vote), check if the motor is broken, make sure the actuator is not stopped by mechanical limit and the catch all - re-check the wire connection.

btw - the local salesman say that vb6 is obsolete - vbox10 is the way of the future .lol

Good advice Stan, I'm waiting on my Pansat positioner to replace my vboxII. Risk, if your not having wiring issues with the box itself, check your actuator wires as well.

Hi all. Probably the attahment is useful to risk. I'm using the Vbox6. Attachment will show my wiring setup with the VonWeise jack. My present setup is a pansat 9200hd with the Vbox6, bud10' with von weise jack and is working fine.

hey guys, thanks for all the responce but that vbox is on a plane back to CAN as i type this lol

yes the guy did said he will swap the vbox 6 for the vbox-x :D

as stanW said rechk the wires. . .well i did did a heap of times, but rememberin it was easy in my case because i can easy plug the jack wires into my 4dtv receiver and it works. . .so it boiled it down to the connections where the wires clamp into or internal.

will keep you guys posted on the vbox-x :D

My vbox has been doing my crazy scans for over 3 years now. Soon to be retired but already committed to one of my buds in PR. Come on Stan, 1 day use, according to my sats you still have at least 20 more positions to try out before you retire yours.:stop:

Great site for the latest sat hardware, I frequent quite often. If I'm not mistaken for distributors. The vbox X looks out of this world.
