Telesat Selects Loral: Telesat has selected Space Systems/Loral to provide its new Anik G1, a multi-mission spacecraft supporting direct-to-home (DTH) television broadcasting in Canada; government requirements over the Americas and the Pacific; and broadband, voice, data and video services in South America.

Sirius XM/FIFA: Sirius XM subscribers with the "Best of XM" will receive ESPN Radio's broadcasts from the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The June 11 to July 11 cup series will offer English language broadcasts of every match in its entirety plus foreign language broadcasts including German, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic and Korean.

CBS Eyes India: CBS is in talks with India's Reliance Media World to form a joint TV venture. According to the Financial Times, CBS is one of several groups in discussions to to create three English-language channels for Reliance's Pay TV platform. The deal is reportedly similar to the one struck with Liberty Global's Chellomedia in the U.K. last September.

SES 3D: SES Astra will supply more content to Italian public broadcaster RAI's 3D demo channel
