The vb6 was working fine until now but when I moved the whole mess from the roof to the tv room it started acting up.. Won't move the dish west past 999 , the manual say to tell it to go to 0 via a receiver . Don't have a receiver that can move the dish - if I had one I wouldn't have purchased the vbox .lol
Does anyone know how to reset it without wiping out all the stored positions? ... and while I'm at it - is there anyway of deleting a stored position ?
thanks

You may have to reset your limits Stan. The only way I know of deleting saved positions is by resetting. My vboxII has a reset button, not sure about the vbox6.
By resetting your limits, your positioner should get you up to at least 129w, but be careful on the west side to not go to far or you'll flip your jack and maybe even damage the dish.

Can't just reset the limits - all or nothing . I'll loose all my positions..
Had an idea - what if I reverse the power wires going to the motor and tell it to drove it east - west in reality, ( that side works fine) - the motor will move farther than it does now ... how will the sensor react ?

You could give it a shot a Stan, nothing to lose. Sensor will react as it should, if your wires are visa versa the motor will go west instead of east. All newbies to positioners screw up the two main wires.
Who cares if you have to reset, you know approximately where your sats are and you have channels stored so It'll be easy to find the sats again, I do it all the time.

As we've talked about before, who cares what the channels are just guides so we know where our dish is pointed at. I always reset my positioner after tweaking because the sat positions have changed.
