Just wondering if anyone here is using, or has used a VS 9000 HD for true FTA. If so, how did you like it and how is it for blind scanning. I am watching one at around $70. Reviews seem to indicate that it is pretty good but wondering what people here think of it.

.. if it comes with a 8psk card it's a good price.

Yes, the 8psk card is included. Looking at it so I will have an HD receiver on the BUD and on the Ku band dish

I never used the 9000hd but if it follows in the vs tradition it will be great for true fta - I'd like to find one for that price...
... btw - I see that there are a few on fleabay for $60 , with 3-5 days of bidding left . they will sell for a lot more than the current bids.

Well, I will definitely be watching there, as well

Unfortunately, it does not. The VS9000 does not even hold a candle in compairison to the VS Ultra when it comes to true FTA. But considering the price on those receivers right now, and including an 8PSK card, it would be worth a try.

Price is right EC, I know somebody who is using one looped out of a cs6k and they are very pleased. Downside is the sporting feeds will not open(4:2:0- 4:2:2).
I "think" they will not decode S2 either...I believe they are pretty much like the nFusion HD...
There are so many though it's hard to keep track of which one can do what
