Manny Pacquiao camp gives Floyd Mayweather Jr two week deadline over Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr fight
Boxing buffs are waiting desperately for the mega fight to be held between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. Chances of the fight have become bright after reports surfaced that Manny has agreed to all the conditions that was tossed at him last year.
Close aides of Manny say that he is girding up for the big moment. Manny has agreed to an Olympic-style drug test before the fight. Besides, he has also agreed for an agreement on a 50-50 split of the purse. Disagreement on these issues had torpedoed the fight last year.
However, now with Manny agreeing to all the condition things look to be taking a positive turn. Now, the ball is on Floyd’s court. But latest report says that he is planning to take self-imposed leave from the game for a year.
But promoter Bob Arum is hopeful that Floyd would agree to the fight. He has given until mid-July to accept the proposal.
Arum said: "We're waiting on Floyd. Floyd has to decide whether he's going to fight this year or next year or not at all. It's up to him, man. He isn't up to any obligation. We want a fight this year, and if he doesn't take the fight this year, then we'll find somebody else."
