Not sure what dish your referring to, certainly not a BUD?
Can’t imagine a 13" round dish bringing in a signal at all.

They do make a 13" portable dish mover for RV use. Quite expensive, and from what I hear they don’t work as well as one would think.
I know for certain this mover will not work with a BUD!!

For RV/Camping use the best approach is picking a site with a clear view of the Southern sky, then use a good tripod and signal to lock on.

I'm not quite sure what a 13" dish would be used for other then really powerful circular sats.

This is the bud forum, moving this thread to fta discussions.

60 dollars
Economy 13x15-inch Portable Satellite Dish w/ dual LNB

This 13x15 dish is great for when the landlord won't allow you to install a huge dish in your balcony. Excellent for use in motor homes, recreational vehicles and rental property.

You will catch 1 satellite only, such as: 110, 119 ,91 ,82 or 129 (Hd) with a very good signal strength and picture quality ,same as the 33 inch dish.

- Ideal for use with any touring vehicle. I.e Motorhomes, Caravans, canal boats and HGV’s.
- Suitable for a tent or awning (although signal quality may deteriorate under wet canvas)
- 13x15-inch Portable dish
- DSS dual LNB
- Fully adjustable mounting accessories
- Includes suction pad stand & G clamp
- 10m Coaxial Cable
- Satellite Finder with compass
- User and installation instructions

Good to have if you have an rv or for a quick setup, however in bad weather your signal quality will be gone.

Would probably be good in Florida, south Texas, Mexico, etc when your dish will be pointing fairly close to straight up but even here in southern Kansas 'Wichita' for me the smallest recommended for Directv or Dish is around a 17-19", the further north the bigger dish you'll need generally all other things being the same.

Also as said if you do get any sats with it you will likely lose them when you get thick clouds let alone some actual rain.

well i had a 18 that worked fine and your only cutting cuople inches off each side, seems to me the beam is like the size of a coffee can for what i could tell on my 39 inch dish.

opened it and kinda thought it wont work, another 55.00 dollars
down the drain!! im on the minnesota canada border and it bangs
all sats very well at 95% for a 13 INCH DISH will have to see when it rains
and how it compares to my 39 fortec. but very small and mobile and lite.
sometime i think the problem lies when the lnb gets wet with dropplets
of water, i put a clear tube over the eye and it works in down pours but thats my big dish.
well will see rain coming soon. and nice suction cup for car hood or what ever.
