I wonder which one is more whachable BV or Ethnic channels.
Programs in BV almost 95% same in DIK .If the server's capacity not allowed,
so we don't need BV and return Ethnic channels to the server like before if possible.We can vote on it,with regards.

It is coming very close to channel begging...a vote that is not solicited by the coders to determine which channels to open up could be construed as channel begging....again you should be happy with what is being offered, if you're not then get a sub.

I agree....well....if someone was to take a survey they might be surprised to find out that we're not as much of a minority that some ppl think we are.......:) and in any case.....Dish doesn't provide their services in Canada...so we do have other problems.....and bev doesn't have all of the Pak/Indian channels available.....

Why does it bother you even if it is channel begging. Wouldn't you do the same if you lost yours.

I never said I would prefer bev over internationals...that is an inuendo that you are stating and one that is completely false. What I said and will repeat so that maybe you can understand is that the coders are trying to please the masses...from that you can say DN was first to come online as the US is a larger market and then Bv as Canada is also a large market then the ethnic channels as they are population specific ie a minority of people.

Well let's look at from a statistical point of view from the population of the United States if you google you will find the information that you want but let me help you here is a link

From that you will find that an overwhelming Majority are of Caucasian or African American decent from that simple number you can extrapolate the numbers are similar in subscription and purchasing rates of receivers...so if you look at the other races ie pakistani+arab+hindi+chinese+ and others...yes they are a minority...

Well we are talking about a service (Dn Bv) that services what...oh that's right the United States and Canada so I chose to speak about one, and I'm suggesting based on those statistics can be extrapolated and used to reflect the users of receivers servicing those 2 countries...So it has everything about what we are discussing here. As for your second point I chose to use 1 of the 2 countries that are serviced by Dn and Bv if you want the stats for Canada google them yourself you will find again the majority are anglo/french speakers and the other ethnicity's you mentioned are again...you guessed it a Minority.

First if you read the entire thread you would have noticed that this thread was in a receiver forum and was moved here by a Moderator. Second your comment is inappropriate given you are not a Moderator therefore it is not within your purview to dictate to others what is appropriate or not. Your comment was totally uncalled for.

I think if someone feels they have the right to beg, or threaten (which is against the rules) for channels, they should make their statement from their perspective and not include a statement like 'we want' or 'we need' cause I am in no way a part of that demand. I do no want ethnic channels, nor do I need them. My suggestion to those that 'want and need' those channels is this, besides buying a sub...get a slingbox, send it to India (or where ever it is you 'need' the programming from) and have your family or friends stream all the programming you want. Problem solved!

Everyday I turn on my TV I am so grateful and appreciative of this outstanding service we all here benefit from, and the CNX team should be commended on maintaining the consistent support for ALL its receivers.

Whether you like to admit it or not there are minorities and majorities in the world. What you need to understand and I don't know if you're getting the point, is when you are trying reach a broad base of consumers you need to focus on the majority of users so that you get maximum penetration of your product. And you need to understand that the ethnic channels in their diversity of languages only penetrate a minority of users...I do hope you understand as I've explained 3 ways from sunday now...

But seriously, I don't think much else can be explained after longolier's explanation. What needs an understanding is this:

That sentence makes no sense for 2 main reasons.
1) Grammatically it has no cohenrency and
2) The first thread said "we dont need bev bring back ethnic channels". It should have said I don't need bev... Then its read as an opinion and has validity. Stating 'we' on a support site is presumptuous and unwarranted and I was stating that, without an regard to 'race'.

Furthermore how is offering a very cheap and feasible option to attain 'needed and wanted' programming a racist comment or a race issue? A friend of mine who lives 4000 miles from me often 'slings' in to share in the programming that I am enjoying. We are both incredibly grateful to have this technology.

I'm also curious if I was a visible minority in a country such as India and started begging and threatening a support site for north american programming what would happen?
