I have a dp plus lnb when I first hoocked it up (two weeks ago) it seemed to work fine but now I only have signal and quality on a couple off TP's, and they cut in and out, sometimes only one sat at a time.
and I have it grounded properly using the guide i found here.
Nano 2
Solaris
no switches beening used, I do have other lnb's (DP single) and switches (disque and DP 34) just trying to see if I can get this to work

Sounds like you have DP Plus Twin LNB? Do you have the Single DP LNB in use via the input port on the DP Plus LNB?

My best guess is that you are having a power issue. Most FTA receivers do not have enough power for those power hungry DP LNBs.

Use the DP34 that you have for the 3 eyes(DPP Twin & DP Dual Single). To power the switch will require the power inserter or connecting up a provider IRD. If you use the power inserter, place it on output port#1 on the DP34 and leave it empty, that is to say, connect up FTA STBs to output ports 2,3, &/or 4.

Does the signal stabilize when you turn one of the receivers off?

I only have one or the other hooked up at a time right now with no switch just one cable from dp plus.
will try the dp 34 with a 301 ird to power it I didn't think the dp-34 worked with the plus lnb's
if I use the dp-34 do I then bring a cable from both outputs on the dp plus lnb to the switch dedicated lines for each sat

Yes, rumor has it that DP-Plus LNB's don't play nice with a DP-34 switch, if it is a power issue you don't need a switch to use the 301, you can connect that ird direct to the LNB to test for a power issue.
Befor you go out and buy any switch lets see if it might be something else causing the issue.........

Are you using the "In Port" on the DP-Plus to connect a third lnb?
Did you test each port separately on the LNB with the CNX, and does the signal still cut in and out on both ports when using 1 receiver?

Hook your sub up to port1 on the LNB and leave it turned on.........then hook your FTA receiver up to port2 on the LNB and check your signal. If the signal is still weak with both sub & FTA receivers connected and turned on then it could be the dish needs to be tweaked or the switch inside the LNB might be going bad.........
