At the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California, WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11KOs) moved up to 147-pounds to win a unanimous twelve round decision over previously undefeated Carlos Abregu (29-1, 23KOs). The scores were 118-110, 116-112 and 117-111.

Bradley came out fast using his speed to land shots. There was a clash of heads in the first that opened up a small cut above the right eye of Bradley. Abgreu got rocked in the second round from a right hand, but fought his way out of trouble. In the fourth, a Bradley hook opened up a cut above the right eye of Abragu.

A clash of heads wobbled Abregu in the seventh. They went to war at close range as Bradley tried to put him away. As rounds continued, Bradley was quicker and boxed circles around Abregu. There were moments when Bradley would land hard punches that shook Abregu but not enough to put him down. They traded punches in the final minute of the twelfth round to close the show.
