Also from that site: "I heard on the news that Nokia bought the STB business from Moto. Who knows if they will do anything. But at least it seems to be out of Motos hands now. maybe someone else can confirm if Nokia bought the STB division from Moto? Have a great day! "
Reply:"googling motorola+stb+sale+nokia yields results that seem to confirm nokia has bought the wireless networking portion of moto for 1.4 billion ish. it also appears that moto is restructuring and grouping handsets and stbs together into one of two new moto entities. it seems there should be some new news on this any day now."

That is great news, what is sad about this is that support for the BUD dish will only continue in the years if there are viewers/subscribers and NPS has been herding all their subscribers towards Dishnet ever since they heard rumors that the 4DTV that we have now could be going away at the end of the year.
And instead of doing what Skyvision is doing in their W5 410 packages, NPS is still pushing their 4DTV subscribers into getting Dishnet with them.

And.............................
The thing is that while NPS just gave up and herded all their subscribers to Dishnet, Skyvision has been working and found a way to patch the Motorola 4DTV STB's to continue picking up the channels after that date.
In order to do that Skyvision also is setting up packages of the 4DTV subscription channels on the W5 satellite and all those subscription channels are located on one sat so a person won't have to move their BUD dish around to get the various sub'd channels like we do now.
And if its true that Nokia bought out Motorola's STB division that may breath some fresh air into the situation, maybe Nokia will spend some money and make an STB with real HD capability, i'm just hopeing on that part.
