During today's WWE investor conference call, Vince McMahon talked about recent WWE business numbers. The company's 2010 second quarter did 106.8 million in revenue and $6.3 million in profits, down from last year's $138.8 million in revenue and $19.9 million in profits. One thing to note was that last year's second quarter included Wrestlemania and this year's didn't.

PPV buyrates were 197,000 for Over the Limit, 182,000 for Extreme Rules, and 143,000 for Fatal Four Way. F4W did the lowest WWE PPV buyrate in history next to December to Dismember.

During the conference call, Vince McMahon talked about how they had a "lousy quarter" and they had a "perfect storm" of problems. Some of those problems included the volcano explosion in Iceland during their European tour, as well as the numerous injuries (Undertaker, Triple H) and departures (Shawn Michaels, Batista) of top performers.

Vince McMahon put over Nexus and believes they will help turn the PPV numbers around starting with Summerslam. "I think there's been a very favorable response to our new talent."
