im in s/w ontario and it is the 82 youll need a compass for you lat and long and find out that way

82w is a bev sat that has mostly just HD on it. i'm not sure how your answer is related to his question.

Go to the link provided
http://www.satbeams.com/footprints, find your location on the map of Canada (use the zoom tool), then find the satellite that provides a straight line vertically. That's your nearest southerly sat.

Due South is 180 degrees, magnetic South will vary by location due to the location of the North and South magnetic poles, you would have to know your magnetic deviation to get it right.

At my location my due south satellite is 119W at 177.8 true or 163.9 magnetic, so you need to know what your magnetic deviation is then look for a satellite in that direction, 82W is good for southern Ontario but if you’re up by the South West shore of Hudson Bay you could be looking at 89W.

You can go to Google Earth and find your location this will give you your longitude and latitude, then go to dishpointer.com and enter that info, then look for a satellite that is as close to your magnetic south bearing as you can get.

I live about as East as you can in Ontario and my southern sat is Horizons 2 at 74w.

s/w ontario it is the 82 closest south sat if he is setting up a motorized dish he needs the corre4ct sat otherwise his arc when moving will get way off course

He is somewhere in Northern Ontario, so he needs to find one for his location, 82W is good for those in South Western Ontario, it's going to change the further North or East/West you go.
