IBF featherweight champion Orlando "Siri" Salido (34-10-2 22 KO's) is confident that will defeat WBA champion, Cuban Yuriorkis Gamboa (18-0 15KO's), in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada on September 11. Salido is training under the veteran eyes of Daniel Zaragoza, who had him spar for eight rounds with featherweights Wilton Hilario and Edgar Ramirez.
Salido says Gamboa was good when he won a gold medial in the Olympics. He doesn't think the Cuban fighter has faced any world class opponents as a pro.
"A fight is different from being an amateur to a professional. There are many who are very good as amateurs and fall as professionals and have no career. Experience is an advantage for me because I have faced great fighters and he has not faced anyone world class. I fought with Juan Manuel Marquez, who is in the elite of boxing right now and several former world champion and I beat them, except for Marquez, but that was a decision," Salido told Ramsey Morales. "I have confidence and I'm going to win."
