Legendary Mexican boxer Daniel Zaragoza is confident in Olrando Salido's ability to defeat Olympic gold medal winner Yuriorkis Gamboa on September 11 in Las Vegas. Zaragoza is now training Salido for the featherweight unification. Salido will risk his IBF title against Gamboa's regular WBA title.
"Daniel has taught me a lot of good technical things," Salido said.
Zaragoza knows that task of beating Gamboa will be tough. He has a few ideas on how to get it done.
"Gamboa is a very fast boxer, from the classic Cuban school of the amateur boxing. He is a great fighter, but there are ways to beat him and we are working on that," said Zaragoza, who also trains top featherweight Rafael Marquez.
"He is going to arrive very well prepared to this fight. We have worked hard and the boy is in excellent physical condition. We are ready to go to Las Vegas on September 6."
