Can an SG2100 be used upsidedown? It's the only way I can mount it on a 30" Digiwave. In the meantime,I'm going to try one of my 26x36" SC dishes on it.Thanks in advance.:tehe:

Don't think that will arc to well,
How about a STAB motor?

Thanks Augoldfinger.I got this SG2100(looks like new)for 40.oo a couple wks ago.I was trying to use an LNB off a 30" dish on a 1M dish.It gets the strong tp's but not the weak ones. The Stab is probably the answer but I'm going to be setting up at least 1 of 2 BUDs soon so I think I've wasted enough time on it.Thanks again

People in Southern hemisphere would have to use upside down their arc would be opposite of Northern hemisphere...

It works.I forget exactly how its done(something about turning a bracket on dish around etc) but yes it can be done.

Sorry but no, the arc would be the same but the motors memory (if it was used in the Northern Hemisphere) would be 180 degrees out from us, instead of 129 being to the west and 61.5 to the east, it would be 61.5 to the west and 129 to the east, the motor would have to be setup for south of the equator usage (SG2100 can) to track the satellites correctly and the due South satellite would now be the due North satellite.

Thanks Terry,That's what I was thinking but was hoping there was a 'reverse' switch of some kind that I didn't know about. Thanks to JRose and Andy also.(If I take the mounting plate off and rotate 180d,it throws out the elevation far too much to compensate for.)

Dont forget that the mounting pole on the motor is also able to be rotated 180

Sorry:tape: I worded that wrong.

Hi Trommy
Why is it the only way you can mount it?
Can you post a picture?

Thanks for all the help, but I'm so busy doing siding and windows and the temps have been up to the low to mid 90's with high humidity until Saturday when Earl blew through.I wasted too much time on this so it's on the back burner.I think I should set up my 7 1/2' Unimesh dish instead. If I add 2 more 4"x4"'s horizontally at the corner of my shed,I think I can mount the post there.I cut that post off level with the ground so it's not long enough to put in the ground again without welding 3-4' on.The shed corner will save time and money;both in short supply.I will post back when this happens, hopefully in a week or two. Thanks again.

Hi Trommy
Not a waste of time. Give it a try when you get a minute next winter you will get it working.
