I am trying to Config the Netgear 606 router to the Liksys Router which is connected to the modam in order to put the netgear in the next room near the box. It keeps telling me that it canot find the connection, I connected the Netgear to the back of the Linksys ,is this correct,?? Could you please tell me the correct conection for the netgear.I am trying to config it with the netgear set up on the computer.

It's difficult to connect 2 routers together to the same modem unless the modem has 2 or more network output connections on the back, can you run a CAT5 cable from the one router to the receiver?

That would be the best way.

The modem is considered the WAN connection; if there isn’t a second WAN connection for a second router you won’t get an internet connection.
