Promoter and super welterweight world champion Miguel Cotto and Héctor Soto have signed Dominican warrior Daniel “Azquita” Jiménez (19-3, 11 KOs) under the promotional banners of Promociones Miguel Cotto and H2 Entertainment. “Azquita is a great fighter, a warrior inside the ring. He has the excitement that fans love,” Cotto said.
“I feel really happy to be part of this great company that is growing really fast. They have the team and quality to work my career,” added Jiménez.
Jiménez, who hasn’t fought since his amazing KO victory over Marcos “El Tigre” Jiménez in August of 2009, will make his comeback fight on September 25 on Cotto’s “Boxeo Boricua” card in Salinas at the Angel L.”Cholo” Espada Coliseum.
