One company was building one of the largest Pharmaceutical plants to maufacturing drugs to "treat" diabetes. Notice i didn't say "cure" I said treat.
For some reason (money) you rarely, if ever, hear the words diabetes and cure in the same sentence. This is just more evidence as if were needed, that there's more money to be made treating a disease than there is in curing that disease.Type 2 diabetes is a gold mine for the pharmaceutical industry. It's what we call in this part of the country a "bird's nest on the ground... easy pickings.
One of every Dollars in the US goes towards diabetes treatment or diabetes-caused problems.
Diabetes is the leading cause of blindness, lower limb amputation, and kidney failure and it's one of the major risk factors in heart attack and stroke.
