I`ll do this before their season kicks off so no one can say I jumped on the ship in mid-stream. I said it at the end of last season-"look out for the Jets if they have a busy off season"---they did. Barring a complete collapse of Mark Sanchez you may want to put some early Vegas money on the Jets to make it to the Super Bowl. I did---don`t say I didn`t tell you.
The following bit was written by Jesse Palmer a TSN analyst---must be a brilliant man cause he agrees with me. LMAO.

One of the most intriguing storylines all season will evolve around New York Jets second year QB Mark Sanchez. There has been a lot of attention focused squarely onto the New York Jets this off season, following an almost Cinderella run into last season's post season which culminated with a loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship Game. The Jets were by far the busiest team this offseason in terms of signing all star talent in the free agency market. The Jets were able to land LaDanian Tomlinson and former Super Bowl XLIII MVP Santonio Holmes, while locking up CB Antonio Cromartie and DE Jason Taylor to help bolster last season's No. 1 ranked total defense. With NT Kris Jenkins back healthy and CB Darrelle Revis finally signing a four-year extension this week, this will again be the premier defense in the NFL.

The debate has been raging all pre season: will the New York Jets win the Super Bowl? I think that it all comes down to Sanchez. After an unspectacular rookie season in which he threw 12 TD passes and 20 INT's, Sanchez must do a better job with his decision making this season if his team is to have any chance pressing into the postseason. Sanchez has the propensity to get lazy with his footwork, and lazy with his reads, and forced far too many passes into coverage a year ago.

Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer's offense is well set up for Sanchez. With a strong running game featuring Shonn Greene and LT, Sanchez is not being relied upon to make every play. On top of having the NFL's best running game in 2009, Sanchez is surrounded by arguably more talent on the perimeter of the field than any other team in the NFL (with the exception of Indianapolis). In addition to Holmes, big play threat Braylon Edwards mans one side, while ever-dependable Jericho Cotchery inhabits the opposite side of the field. Mix in athletic TE Dustin Keller, and the versatile “slash” type Brad Smith, and you have the making of a juggernaut offense! By the way, the Jets return two Pro Bowlers on the offensive line in C Nick Mangold and LT D'Brickshaw Ferguson. After playing very inconsistently this past pre season, I am very intrigued to watch Sanchez early in the year.

With so many Pro Bowl caliber players on offense it is easy for a signal caller to want to “do too much”, and score on every drive. Mark Sanchez will be best served to play within the system, much like he did during the 2009 postseason, by simply taking what defense present to him. Whether Mark Sanchez is ready or able to drive the Lamborghini in New York this season will remain the biggest question in many Jets fans minds.

I believe it will be the difference whether or not the Jets go Super-Bowling in Dallas or not.
