I have a Zoom ADSL X5 modem that disconnects from privider and all attached items. Power light stays lit. It feels pretty warm when this happens. If left, it will eventually reconnect. If I reboot the modem, I still have no connection. If I remove it from the system and place it in front of a fan for about five minutes then reconnect all seems well.

This modem has four ethernet ports plus a sub port. On the four ports I am running two computers and a cnx mini. The fourth port is to a router that has two stb's and a wireless router connected to it. Never had this problem until I started adding items to the connection.

This seems to happen 2-3 times a day, then won't happen for a week or more.

Place it on top of a cheap laptop cooler and toy will be good to go.
