BoxingScene.com,

Miguel Cotto could defend his junior middleweight title (WBA) against the Puerto Rican Kermit Cintron on 4 December in Atlantic City.

According to the Web site, BoxingScene.com, Cintron, who lost a technical decision against Paul Williams, was chosen by Top Rank boxing to fight Cotto if the fight against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr does not materialize.

It is rumored that Chavez could face Pawel Wolak, who he was to fight in September. This fight would be part of the same bill of the possible fight between Cotto and Cintron.

Cotto's and Chavez fight began to confront problems when the Mexican did not want to move to the Philippines to train with Freddie Roach, who is in that country training Manny Pacquiao for his fight against Antonio Margarito on November 13.

I dont like the idea of cotto fighting againts kermit cintron.First because I am a fan of both and I do not like seeing boricuas fighting each other.Having said that cotto will have his hands full with the bigger cintron and has to be aware this guy can punch. As for chavez he has no dicipline as a fighter. He wont train and now he will fight wolak who he was supposed to fight last month and didnt because it was said that the fight might of ruined his chances at a cotto fight.Chavez to me I have seen that he is into boxing more because of the family pressure (father) to box than his wanting to fight.I get that feeling.Jmo
