This tp shows up on lyngsat as being hd- mpeg4. I just scanned that tp with my 10' bud and came up empty. I don't think a 6' dish would scan it in and if you did, you would need an hd stb.

I just had a look at lyngsat and it shows it listed twice
3750 V HD
and
3853 H SD
Wonder if ones an old tp not used or maybe they do use both strange they wouldnt stream both on same tp.

Thanks for the info andy, I never searched lower on lyngsat to see if there was a second t. 3853 H 2200 scans in with excellent picture quality on my 10' bud. I'll send my 6' solid over and see if it picks it up as well.

Tp 3853 scans in with 57% signal quality on my 6' solid with my pansat 3500. If your in Brampton you shouldn't have any issues scanning in those 2 channels.

Reboot your stb or just power on and off or channel up or down to get audio, usually works for me.

i did that on off reboot channel up and down still no audio. maybe because iam using a 6 foot dish. well sunday iam going to try a 8 foot dish to see if i get audio.

Wether it's hd or not, the kbox is more than adequate for true fta. By the way, the size of your dish has nothing to do with your audio. It's most likely that the channel is ac3(dolby). I'll have a check later and report back.

Confirmed, audio coming in loud and clear for both RE and JNN.

Maybe his sound is set to a sub audio channel.Maybe try hitting the "sound"button on remote and see if there are sub channels to change to

What does a dongle for Amazonas have to do with a tp on Intelsat 805 at 55.5w? Please refrain from hijacking other members threads, as it is against the rules- just start your own.
am sorry what lnb u ues to get 55.5w can a 5ft work in jamaica

Seeing that it's scanning in with 57% signal quality on a 6' solid dish, I think you just may be able to scan them in with a 5'- nothing to lose.

I dont think it will work cos. I am living in jamaica and any 5ft dish that he is talking about I will bet u that it is ku (metal).
I use a 10ft BUD (mesh) and receive at 72% quality

I'm not sure where the member in question lives but signal quality for both those channels is quite strong here. They scan in at 88% on my 10' bud and 57% on my 6' solid with a pansat 3500. Anybody who has experience with a pansat 3500 will know that to actually watch a channel without breakup requires 36%. If 57% is attained with a 6' solid then I think a 5' dish just might be able to pull those 2 channels in.

A c/ku lnbf is more then adequate. I would suggest trying to scan in rtpi on 55.5w, it's a strong tp. Have a look at lyngsat for other tp you might try on that sat.

I'm not quite sure what you mean but in my area there are many old c band dishes not being used, all you have to do is ask and most of the times there free.

It would cost a fortune in shipping. After all, for real c band you need a 10' bud.
