There is a free program form Microsoft. It’s in a down load are called power tools
And the program it’s self is called resize /http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
It’s some were on right side of page at this link. After installing it you just right click over image then left click on re-size it and you will get 4 size choices medium works well.
I am using XP on my computer.

You can load larger images, actually much larger. They will be automatically reduced. Just give it a try:thumbsup:

I'm running XP.
Right click on the image & select properties...In there is will tell you the size either in kb's or mb's & let us know.
Maybe you might need a mod to look at it for you:noidea:

It is to large for the site Like Dishuser said try a image hosting site such as photobucket and you can host it that way

The site limit is 97.7kb.The downsizing doesn't seem to be working or it's not downsizing them enough.

Left click on post reply. Next left click on the attachments icon. (Paper clip).
Manage attachments file opens. Left click on one of the browse keys under the upload file from your computer heading, then go to were your pictures are open your file were picture is left click on it and left click open. Attachment gets uploaded. Close manage attachment file. Go back to paper clip icon click on it and your picture to load should be there. Works for me. Don’t know if that’s the right way. Maybe one of the computer literate smart people could post something for the people like me that were born before the microwave oven! So we can understand.
Thanks.

Thanks Ftatalk and Pugsy and Paul.I think they are bmp files so I guess I will have to change the code in the 'properties' window??I too was born before the microwave (before the light bulb)! My son was his school's puter whiz but he ran things by me too fast and too much info for me to catch on.I had to teach myself to use a computer at the same time as I was learning FTA.I'll try the code change and see what happens. Thanks again. :noidea:

start with image right click click open with, scroll down find paint highlight should open your image. when open in paint hit file scroll down to save as click save as box open select where you are saving this file to at the top of the box then go to two dropdown at the bottom qne says file name the other says file type.put whatever name you want then hit the dropdown menu on file type. find j-peg and click on that. hit save now you should have a new file in j-peg stored wherever you decided at the top of the box
