Acer travelmate 4010
80g drive

I’m looking for a new bigger hd and I’m hoping someone might recommend one .
I would like a 200g range 7200rpm eide ,5400rpm would be ok if no one make s it in 7200 . thanks

You didn't say it was for a laptop , so here are some for a desktop. Also be in mind that Tiger Direct is also CompUSA which are scattered around the country if you don't want to Mail order.

yes it's a laptop. Tiger Direct has good stuff but they are a bit high in price for me now.

thanks for the info.

what i'm looking into is brand . i know the size and cost so all i need now is a good brand . i've used WD in my desk tops for years but i dont know how good the laptop hd's are . thanks

I know what you mean about Tiger being high, the prices are OK on newest parts but memory and hard drives for older machines are high. All the new computers use SATA drives so IDE (PATA) drives are high. The PDF attachment is a local to me place I buy memory and hard drives from but don't know about mail ordering from them.

I use WD laptop drives in all my portables, havent had a problem yet.

Try Frys.com they have good prices.
