WBO super bantamweight champion Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. says that he is ready for the big names in boxing. In particular he wants to face the likes of WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando Montiel and Jorge Arce, now fighting at super bantam. Last Saturday Vazquez had the most impressive victory of his career with an eleven round TKO of Ivan "Choko" Hernandez at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Florida.
"Every time out I'm doing better, and I follow the instructions better. I'll fight anyone who will stand in the ring with me. Bring on Arce and Montiel," Vazquez told Aurelio Moreno.
Following the Hernandez win, Vasquez and his father, Wilfredo Vazquez Sr., said they received a tempting offer "from China" for the next defense of the championship, but they did not elaborate on the details.
