Does anyone know if you connect 2 TV's to one receiver. I am trying to see if I can connect 2 tv's to our cs8000. I know that, if it can be done, both tvs will have to be watching the same channel but my wife wants to be able to watch tv in bed and usually is watching the same as I am downstairs.

the simplest way to conect receiver output to another tv input to chnl 3 by coax cable

If you have another reciever you can use the loop out and watch any channels on the same tp.If you dont then things change. If the box has a coax tv out you could use that for the second tv and hdmi or componet for the main tv.

Unfortunately the CS8000 doesn’t have an RF output, (channels 3 or 4) so you will have to use the Video (Yellow, Red/White) S-Video (black DIN plug with Red/White) or component video (RGB with Red/White) to feed the other TV set, however there is one small problem, those cant be run very far (25 to 30 feet) without signal loss or other problems, you would have to use a video to RF modulator (channels 3 or 4) (at Rat shack) to go any further.

Thanks guys. The distance would be about 30 feet so I nay have to look into Terry's suggestion. Thanks again

Well if you get some real good cables (like Monster big $$$) you may be able to stretch it out at least 50 feet, is that the direct run from point A to point B or are you going to have to run it around things?

Sorry I am a little late. Terryl is correct that the RF modulator is the way to go as I have 3 TVs connected to 1 FTA receiver(among other equipment).

I am using a 4 output switch with a built in RF modulator. From the RF output I have the coax split using a 2-way hi-freq. splitter. 1 is about 35ft and the other is about 50ft. Works great and the TV closest to the FTA box, I use component inputs. With 2 switches it allows me to switch among the Bell stb, the FTA stb, DVD, Wii, and if ever needed the VCR.

The switches I use now are manual, but when I have time I am swapping in an automatic switcher.

All you need is a simple $10 RF modulator and use the composite outputs from your FTA receiver for that 2nd TV.
