Antonio Margarito is calling Manny Pacquiao the "most important fight" of his career. The training camp of Margarito is going strong in Oxnard, California. He takes on Pacquiao on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Texas. He would consider a win over Pacquiao as the biggest accomplishment of his career.

"I have always prepared well, but this is the most important fight my life, even more so than when I won the title for the first time or when I beat [Miguel] Cotto. I've never felt as good as I do now. I'm very motivated," Margarito told Sal Rodriguez.

Margarito won't be able to match Pacquiao in speed. He doesn't think the Filipino will be able to withstand the pressure for twelve rounds. He expects a knockout.

"I think I'm going to knock him out. Even I'm sometimes amazed at how well I'm doing in camp. It can't get any better. We're close to finishing the strength training. I'm working hard on my combinations and applying pressure. I can not allow Manny to dicate the fight. I will not be faster than him but he still won't handle the pressure," Margarito said.

My comments: He should of also said the biggest payday of his career.

IMPORTANT????? Are you kidding me?

It is the only fight in his life where he stands to make $3,000,000+. Now tell me if that is not important enough. Hehehehe!

Don't doubt he'll take a dive for that amount of money. He didn't beat Cotto the plaster did. :grr:

You know what? I'd hate to speculate something like this because it is bad for boxing but you wrote exactly what has been on my mind. I just hope that he will give it his best but $1,000,000 per round and 3-rounds of work in one night is one hell of a pay-off.

One thing though, Pacman will not take it easy on him. He will bombard him with his best punches. (In case you are wondering, I am thinking that Margarito may not last 4 rounds.)

I don't think Margarito would ever box for a payoff. What is a good night for Antonio?Maybe it's going the distance or perhaps a victory against the much smaller with a very short reach Pacquaio..Margarito has a warriors soul much similar to Pacquaio's.I'm sure we won't be disappointed..Jmo.Peace>

Whatever, 1 mil for each round, mmmm he's definitely thinking about it.

Mi amigo toddr, a dude that uses anything to beat up a fellow worker doesn't deserve to make that amount of money, unless is a payoff for killing someone. A warrior fights with pride, does not cheat. Mexico had and still have lots of them. Ruben Olivares, J.C. Chaves, Salvador Sanchez, Los hermanos Marquez and many more. margaro is not among them. My respect to you.
