Need clarification

Can someone tell me if I can use one of my IRD's to controll my bud by itself?I was told awhile back by a mod in one of the few sites I frequent,that he thought my Homesat might do the trick.

I use an old Toshiba ird as a stand alone positioner with my 6' setup. All you need to do is assign old sat names to present day sat locations and save.
Not too complicated:
ird in program mode
set east and west limits
track your arc one sat at a time and assign an old c band or ku sat to taht location- I keep a list, can't always remember about 30 sats off by heart.

Thanks Costa.I have an old TrackerVII (SRD 7000) VCII rcv that maybe I could use.Wouldn't you have to know what sat each program(channel) is on,turn to that with the analog ird, and thenselect the tv channel with the FTA ird??
Gould,I thought Homesat was only produced in the last few years.Is it the same company?Model #146 or 149,I think.I don't have it hooked up to a tv now and my other has only the 'red eye' which I haven't been able to recover yet.They are both converted Ariza Xtremes.Thanks fellas
