During an open workout Wednesday for the international media, his third day of preparation at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood since arriving from Bagiuo City in his native Philippines, WBO welterweight (147 pounds) king Manny Pacquiao gave a demonstration with trainer, Freddie Roach.

Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 knockouts) is gearing up for a Nov. 13 main event at The Dallas Cowboys of an HBO pay per view televised, Top Rank Promotions WBC junior middleweight (154 pounds) title clash opposite former titlist Antonio Margarito (38-6, 27 KOs), against whom he will pursue his eighth crown in as many weight divisions.

"Manny just did eight rounds on the mitts, we hit the double-end bag, the speed bag, jumped some rope, did some shadow boxing. It was just a little gym workout. We normally do 12, 13 rounds on the mitts, but we cut that in half," said Roach. "We showed them a little bit. We didn't want to give away our game plan. We just went through the motions. We didn't want to give too much away."

Pacquiao took a moment after he was finished to speak via celular phone with FanHouse for this Q&A.

How does it feel to be back in the Wild Card Gym as opposed to Baguio City, Philippines?

Manny Pacquiao: It's good to be back in the office. It felt good, you know. We had the media here today, so, there were lots of people. But otherwise, it is good to be at home. Other than having a little bit of jet lag, I felt really good today during the workout.

So, you know, I felt really good about today. So, you know, it is good to be back at the Wild Card Gym.

Is it, like Freddie Roach says, better to be at the Wild Card as opposed to in Baguio, where Roach says that you are faced with many more distractions?

No, to me, it is not about there being less distractions. It's just that I know that Freddie and the rest of my team is more comfortable here at the Wild Card. So, you know, for me, it's a different atmosphere.

And as the fight draws closer, it is a good preparation for the fight.

Can you clear up for your fans why you believe that it helps you to play basketball in conjunction with your training?

You know, I like the way that basketball is comparable with my boxing. It is a compliment to my training. It is a great way to maintain my training and my conditioning. And it helps to break things up between my training and my conditioning for boxing.

Can you address what the problem was with your left foot, which has been reported as being anything from a bone spur to a twisted ankle to a tendon injury?

You know, it's just been sore. It has been sore at times off and on since the beginning of training camp. And, we've just been doing some ice therapy.

And you know it's a problem, my doctor said, from wearing the harder dress shoes for Congress as opposed to training sneakers or training shoes that I am used to wearing for workouts. But now, you know, I'm okay.

How did you benefit from the sparring sessions with Amir Khan?

It was good sparring with him because the other people and the other partners that I was sparring with were bigger and slower. So, sparring with Amir Khan, who is faster, made me become more aware with my boxing.

Are you looking to score a knockout over Antonio Margarito, who is bigger and stronger, or will you just go out and box him?

No, I'm not going out to look for the knockout. I have prepared myself for a long, tough, difficult fight. You know, I think that everybody will see that I am quicker, faster and that I am strong and all of these things. I think that the fans are going to see a great fight on Nov. 13.
