I put up another pole and mounted the 1m dish and motor. The weather was in the 60's and is supposed to continue there tomorrow so I hope to finish tomorrow.I made a worm gear out of a piece of threaded rod and scrap metal because this particular dish keeps slipping when you try to adjust the elevation.I'll take another picture tomorrow with it on the dish so it will be clear how it works.Similar to the 75E SC dish elevation adjuster.(I wish my DMX741 was here.)

I should take a pic of it in the daylight tommorow, I thought the weight of my dish made elevation adjustment tedious so I used a 1/4" coupler nut with a 1/4" bolt mounted against the SG2100's shaft to work as a jack screw. It works excellent to stabilize the elevation when bolts are loosened and very very fine adjustment can be accomplished for those weaker sats. Everyone needs a motorized dish, they are the way to go...they do take patience to setup, don't cost that much and are definitely worth the effort.

EDIT:The new pictures show the 26x36" SC dish on the pole but the other picture shows a good view of the screw device.I removed it because it was binding and needs more precisely made ancors.I got 101,97 and 83 quite quickly. It's too small to get 72 and I tried to get 63 (which I can get) but it was getting cold quick and was already long dark out.I may have to make a better crank for the 1m dish or modify this one. When my DMX741 gets here I will be concentrating on that with my 7 1/2' BUD.The temperatures here are supposed to remain low 'till the end of the week.

That's pretty much what I'm doing with threaded rod.Your idea sounds better though.hummm!

I think to motorize my 39 inch dish and 1 question confuse me
How do you skew the LNB on different birds on motorize dish .
You know some birds need to skew the lnb to left ,another to right side??/
Thanks in advance

The motor skews the dish as it pans through the sky, the LNB is mounted and fixed at 90 degrees to the dish (zero skew) then when you go to the satellite you have selected the dish and LNB are skewed to the correct angle.
If you need any more info or help with this I can move you to your own thread, we don't want to hi-jack Trommy's thread.
